A4U Awards – the low down…
It was that time of the year again where the whole industry dons their posh frocks and penguin suits! The a4uawards this year were held in the impressive Hilton Park Lane. We arrived and headed straight to the Champagne reception. On the way in, there was a photographer taking pictures which will hopefully be uploaded shortly.
At the reception it was nice to have a glass of bubbly while chatting to our guests and industry friends. The reception went on for about 40 minutes until we were all summoned to dinner. We made our way to our table. 
This year we had 2 tables and they were situated beside each other which was nice. Dinner was served – starter was a Trio of Salmon and Prawns followed by confit of duck and broccoli and potatoes. Dessert was definitely award winning! It was chocolate fondant and vanilla ice cream.
After dinner Matt Wood kicked off the night with an introduction to the evening and then host and comedian Jason Manford took to the stage. He was very funny with some good gags on the industry, pain and Manchester. All was good fun and then he led into the awards. A quick rundown of all the awards can be found here. This year we were unlucky in our quest for awards but we hope to bounce back and bag a few next year.
After all the awards the band came out and more drinking was to be had mixed up with dancing and networking until the late hours or should I say early hours of the morning! I am sure there are a fair few sore heads today!

Finally, I would like to congratulate all the winners, highly commended and non winning nominees. All very deserved but watch your back next year
