Important Notice for Publishers
Just a friendly reminder, we are currently enhancing our systems that process and deliver Advertiser product links through LinkShare Merchandiser. These enhancements will significantly reduce the time it takes to process product links and make them available to you and subsequently to your shoppers.
If you are using LinkShare Merchandiser data feeds you may know your product links are currently being delivered in the following structure:
http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=XXXXXXyyyyy&offerid=11.8213546&type=15&subid=0
Beginning the week of September 19, 2011 your product links will be delivered in the following format:
http://click.linksynergy.com/link?id=XXXXXXyyyyy&offerid=11.8213546&type=15&murl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.examplemerchant.com%2Fa%2Fproducts%2F678263%2FVerbatim-16x-DVD-R-Media%2F
Here are some things to keep in mind about this new format:
- Generally no action is needed you will simply notice the new format when downloading product links from LinkShare Merchandiser Downloads.
- Product links in the old format will NOT break.
- Other ways of getting links including deep linking and the Coupon Web Service are NOT impacted by this change
- Important: If you have custom or third party applications that rebuild product links after downloading them from LinkShare Merchandiser Downloads ensure that you test and use the new format going forward.
These exciting changes will significantly enhance the end-to-end delivery of LinkShare Merchandiser product links and will help you optimise the shopping experience by providing you with faster updates to product information.
