Deep Linking Bookmarklet
We’ve been experimenting with a bookmarklet that makes it much easier to use the LinkGenerator service to create a commission-paying link for any merchant that’s a partner. Just fill in this form with your token and you’ll be given a link to drag to the toolbar on your browser. From then on, you can click the bookmark link when you’re on the page of a partner’s website and it will generate a commission paying link for you. Here are the instructions:
- Step 1: Get your token from your LinkShare account on this page.
- Step 2: Paste it here:
- Step 3:
This will turn into a link when you input a token with 64 characters.
- Step 4: Look for items by browsing through the websites of your partners. (This will only work if you’re approved by the merchant.)
- Step 5: Click on the LinkGenerator button that you just created on your toolbar.
- Step 6: A window with the URL will appear. You can cut and paste it wherever you like.
- Step 7: When your readers click on this link, they’ll be taken the partner’s page and you’ll receive a commission when they purchase.

Links creating using the bookmarklet will report as LinkBuilder links.
This is just a beta tool and we’re just testing it. When it’s successful, we’ll roll it out to a wide audience and this may require you to rebuild the bookmarklet by repeating steps (2) and (3).
